The Maintenance Duty Manager (MDM) is the Maintenance Operations Control Center (MOCC) focal point and is responsible for the maintenance repair cycle and return to the safe and timely operational status for the entire Flexjet aircraft fleet.  This position provides direct guidance to the MOCC Controllers and reviews the AOS for the best possible aircraft repair process.  The MDM will ensure adherence to all FAA and Company manuals in performance to their daily job responsibilities.


  • Act as the liaison between maintenance and the operations control center manager concerning maintenance issues
  • Maintain 3rd party vendor relations and negotiate repairs as needed
  • Review aircraft status and resolve aircraft out–of–service conflicts to prevent operational charter costs
  • Manage deferred maintenance item repair process for unscheduled and scheduled maintenance events
  • Coordinate with internal and external maintenance providers on:
    • The aircraft unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repair process
    • Continually updating internal departments
    • Approving parts procurement
    • Updating computer maintenance tracking software
    • Determining the best and most cost effective repair process
  • Document maintenance metrics accurately


The Maintenance Duty Manager provides counseling on work performance, recommends and schedules training, and mentors employees. In addition, this position is responsible for documenting annual performance reviews for assigned employees. 


  • Airframe and Powerplant certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree or Technical High school; 10 years experience in a maintenance repair process function; or equivalent combination education and experience
  • Knowledge of Company fleets preferred
  • Must have a general working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s)


  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs
  • Knowledge of the accounting techniques and other related methodologies as it relates to maintenance invoicing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Requires excellent analytical ability with a strong attention to detail and excellent organization and record keeping skills
  • Must be able to work effectively independently and as a member of a team.
  • Successful candidate will be highly motivated individual and a self starter who works effectively under pressure and within time constraints
