Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor


About The Job:

Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor needed for dynamic FAR 145 maintenance facility located near Chicago, we are a 50+ year old company. Experience preferred on Bombardier Q series, Embraer135/145 & 170/190, Beechcraft, Lear or Challenger aircraft.


Maintenance Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager. 
  • Leads, directs, coaches, and develops Aircraft Leads and technicians in performing aircraft heavy maintenance and modifications. 
  • Identifies critical path tasks, assist in prioritizing critical items and sequencing of maintenance tasks. 
  • Acts as a liaison with the Customer for work approvals, estimated time adjustments, Aircraft status, etc. 
  • Responsible for tracking aircraft status for daily status meetings. 
  • Ensure documentation of paper work is complete, correct, and turned in to the inspection department. 
  • Coordinates crew assignments and support functions. 
  • Ensure proper safety procedures are being followed and cleanliness in work areas. 
  • Is accountable for any additional responsibilities assigned to him or her by the Maintenance Manager. 
  • Fulfills the duties of the Maintenance Manager in the Maintenance Managers absence. 
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years old 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • FAA A&P valid certification required or the ability to obtain an Airframe Certificate 
  • Must have previous leadership experience and applicable regional aircraft experience 
  • 10 or more years experience preferred 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen 
  • Must be willing to work any shift in a 7 day operation, including nights, weekends and holidays 
  • Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship 
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position
  • A valid clear driver’s license
