Description
  • Responsible for the implementation of new airline alliance and interline agreements; manage project timelines, identify system requirements and possible constraints, and coordinating with internal/external teams to ensure successful launch.
  • Manage on-going maintenance of existing airline partnerships and relationship management through codeshare expansion and optimization, technology and customer experience enhancements.
  • Act as primary operational owner of all airline alliance relationships; work independently with other commercial teams to manage and steer the alliance relationship.
  • Manage the consistent delivery of alliance customer initiatives including IT systems communication and customer delivery in collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Maintain a constant proactive approach to solving all potential issues with airline relationships, and maintain an up to date view of contractual obligations and status.
  • Serve as the primary business owner of large-scale initiatives and projects which primarily impact the company’s airline partnerships.
  • Maintain open communication and develop good working relationships with counterparts in Sales, Marketing, Network, Pricing, Revenue Management, Schedule Planning, Airport Customer Service, Reservations, In-flight Service, Revenue Accounting, PMO, IT, Brand, Corporate Communications and Legal.
  • Ability to perform analysis using Excel and other reporting tools to solve business problems and develop strategic plans
  • Obtain and employ a high level knowledge of airline alliance related subject matters.
  • Work at both senior and operational levels with each airline to deliver against the plan and identify value-ads and tools required from the airline partners to support alliance and codeshare growth initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree
  • 3-5 years work experience in airline partnership management, marketing, network, customer experience delivery, planning or operations, revenue management, project management or sales.
  • International work experience in a multi-cultural cross-functional environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including written and verbal communication experience with senior management; ability to articulate the airline partnership and alliance goals to a diverse audience both internal and external
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Strong analytical skills including aptitude for problem solving and constructing logical analytical arguments.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple projects in a fast changing environment
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in business or international relations preferred
  • Ability to speak a second language desirable (Chinese, Japanese or Korean preferred)
  • Knowledge of Sabre or other airline systems
