Manager, Commodity – IP & Assembly

As a Manager, Commodity
- IP & Assembly in Moog’s Aircraft Group you can
expect to:

* Help develop and execute overall IP and complex Assembly commodity
strategies, establish Long-Term Agreements (LTA) that meet program cost
targets, develop new processes and help identify potential sources, while
leading cross functional commodity team(s)
* Support both Commercial and Military supply chains

Here’s what you’ll work on:

* Meet program requirements and target costs in alignment with the
supply chain commodity strategy
* Responsible for team’s tactical execution of strategic
directives from sourcing management
* Participate in setting commodity target costs (working with
program and product lines)
* Work closely with engineering, quality, sites and programs on sourcing decisions
* Lead cross site commodity management teams (with support from
engineering, supplier quality, supply chain engineering and supply chain
process improvement )
* Direct supplier mission success to work on Root Cause and
Corrective Actions (RCCA) and support risk management and supplier development
plans
* Travel to Moog’s domestic and international locations and
suppliers (up to 20%)

Qualifications:

* BS in Business, Engineering or equivalent experience; MBA or PMP
strongly desired but not required
* Minimum 10+ years of related job experience; aerospace industry
experience favored
* Analytical skills are required in order to make investment
recommendations
* Ability to make resource decisions working closely with the
Commodity Director
* Demonstrated business acumen
* Demonstrated experience dealing with suppliers and/or customers
* Demonstrated negotiating and contracting skills are required
* Demonstrated abilities to lead teams
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
