Overview:

The Manager, Compensation will assist in the design, implementation, communication and administration of global compensation strategies and programs, both at the executive and non-executive level, that effectively attract, retain, and motivate talent to enable Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings to achieve its business strategies as directed by the Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President Organizational Development and Training. Compensation models will include merit programs, incentive programs, bonus plans, equity plans, and global compensation planning to help drive organizational performance. The incumbent may work cross-functionally with internal departments and external resources on total rewards and long term incentive and stock plan administration related issues. The Manager, Compensation supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborating with the Chief Human Resources Officer, VP Organization Development & Training, VP Human Resources, Senior Directors Benefits and HRIS, HR Business Partners, Executive Compensation & Benefits Counsel and Key Business Stakeholders to develop and maintain compensation programs in line with business objectives to attract and retain employees.
* Conduct job evaluation and salary surveys, establishing salary structures, developing salary budgets and preparing policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.
* Work with line management to assess competitive market trends; proactively determine gaps to market and present recommendations to senior management for domestic and international markets. In addition will assist and guide management regarding salary increase and bonus award recommendations.
* Maintain a working knowledge of US federal and state as well as international legislation and labor contracts that may affect compensation policies
* Will assist facilitating the long term incentive program, annual bonus administration process, and other compensation policies and programs.
* At the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer and in collaboration with the Executive Compensation & Benefits Counsel, assist in preparing certain materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board, including, final Year-End recommendations and any ongoing program changes for merit, incentive, and bonus and equity programs for both domestic and global salary planning, primarily at the executive level.
* Managing market data collection and analysis processes and developing systems to report salary ranges and changes in local, regional and national markets.

* Overseeing all aspects of compensation planning to include system readiness, communication, and budget proposal.

* Conduct ongoing research for improving effectiveness of compensation plans as it relates to market competitiveness to attract and retain employees.

* Will serve as a main point of contact with external Company executive compensation consultant.

* Providing professional consultation and guidance to CHRO, VP Organizational Development and Training, VP Human Resources and Senior Director Benefits on market data and trends.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree required; Masters a plus. Areas of study may include human resources, business, or finance.

* 3-6 year’s work experience of progressively increasing experience in compensation, including executive compensation. Public company executive compensation a plus.

* Proven success at designing and implementing compensation programs.
* Strong analytical, project management and program development skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including formal presentations.
* Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
* Ability to identify issues, develops recommendations, sell ideas, and implement the solutions.
* Strong interpersonal skills, ability to remain poised in difficult situations and operates within areas of ambiguity.

* Strong computer skills with proficiency in standard Microsoft office software applications and exposure to HRIS systems.

* Possesses an understanding of business strategies, culture and works to achieve impactful results.
* Ability to build relationships cross-functionally and partner with leaders to deliver solutions that meet the business needs.

* Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, and legislation that impacts compensation/pay.
* CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) a plus.
* Experience with supporting strategies for Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations a plus.
