Job Description

American Airlines Group Inc. is seeking a creative and passionate individual to serve as the Ethics and Compliance Communications and Training Manager in the Business Ethics & Compliance department based in Fort Worth, Texas. The position will report to the Associate General Counsel – Ethics & Compliance. The team member will actively support American’s worldwide operations by developing and implementing the airline’s ethics and compliance communications program, including communications to employees, vendors, suppliers and business partners.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the ethics and compliance communications program at American, including communications to employees, vendors, suppliers and business partners
  • Develop company-wide awareness of the Business Ethics & Compliance Program
  • Create and provide managers with communications and training tools to help management integrate ethics and compliance messages into business communications
  • Prepare ethics and compliance communications and facilitate training
  • Create resources to increase understanding of ethics and compliance risks and best practices (posters, infographics, guides, etc.)
  • Create and manage all communications for the Business Ethics & Compliance Office (articles, newsletters, webinars, blogs, etc.)
  • Track the efficiency of communications and training to measure results
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team to ensure consistency with company standards
  • Analyze and interpret hotline data to effectively identify compliance risk indicators and trends
  • Develop and prepare reports and presentations for business partners, senior level management and the audit committee
  • Manage special ethics and compliance remediation projects
  • Performs other duties as required

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college or university; excellent academic record
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Ability to learn new compliance areas quickly, influence management, work independently with minimal supervision, manage and prioritize multiple tasks, and lead projects in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or qualifications in advertising, marketing, adult learning, instructional design or similar fields
  • In-house ethics and compliance experience, including substantive experience in ethics and compliance matters
  • Extensive experience facilitating training, especially ethics and compliance training
  • Experience with e-learning and learning management systems
  • Ability to speak one or more foreign languages
  • Certification as a compliance professional (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite or similar programs
  • Ability to relocate, if not currently residing in Dallas/Fort Worth area
  • Ability to travel independently, including overnight trips of varying duration, domestically and internationally, and ability to hold a passport allowing unrestricted travel
