Manager of Dispatch Standards and Training

This Manager of Dispatch Standards and Training is responsible for the continued development and maintenance of Dispatch standardized processes and procedures as defined in Silver Airways manuals to meet or exceed regulatory requirements for highest levels of safety and efficiency. The standards are implemented through the training and qualification program.  

This position reports to the Senior Manager of the Operations Control Center for all duties and responsibites defined herein. However, when acting in the capacity of an ATGI or ATS, the position reports to the Director of Training.

*FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (ADX) REQUIRED
*Aircraft Transport Ground Instructor (ATGI)
*Air Transport Supervisor (ATS)

Duties and Responsibilities:
*Development of standardized practices and procedures for exercising operational control of flights through flight planning and issuance of dispatch or flight releases by certificated and qualified Aircraft Dispatchers. 
*Continued development of Dispatcher training program including content, courseware, and presentation, to support the standardized practices and procedures to achieve the highest level of safety.
*Maintain Dispatcher training schedules, records, and audits, to ensure all dispatchers maintain qualification.
*Maintain Dispatcher roster and duty periods to ensure enough Dispatchers are scheduled to support flight schedules within the limits of 14 CFR Part 121.
*Evaluation and documentation of any deviations from existing Dispatcher schedules to warrant modifications to existing duty periods.
*Review and approval of actual duty time within the Silver Airways payroll system.
*Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience
•FAA certificated Aircraft Dispatcher
•Minimum five years’ experience in a CFR, Part 121, airline OCC environment.
•Minimum two years’ supervisory or management experience in a CFR, Part 121 airline OCC environment
•Minimum one year experience as an Air Transport Ground Instructor (ATGI)
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
•Strong computer skills, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Sabre products
•Ability to develop computer based training (CBT) modules and/or systems
•Ability to work on call, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
