Description
 

SUMMARY

Responsible to identify, administer, and keep current all maintenance and inspection requirements for assigned aircraft types operated under AAR Airlifts operating certificate. This includes the revision, coordination and oversight of the applicable Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) or Maintenance Inspection Program (MIP) for each fleet type and supporting technical documentation. Lead and direct the Maintenance Programs function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the CAMP and MIP manuals for each fleet type to ensure compliance with applicable FAR, maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives and service bulletins/service letters.
  • Perform bridging analysis of aircraft inspection and maintenance requirements for aircraft added to the operating certificate or transitioned to a new maintenance program.
  • Research, create and review maintenance, engineering and inspection task cards to be utilized in the companys Computerized Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS).
  • Ensure Areas of Responsibility meet goals and objectives by providing systems, resources, and training as needed.
  • Supervises direct reports.
  • Performs such individual assignments as the Director of Quality and Engineering may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Performs those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of organization goals and objectives, measuring the work performed within the department, and ensures adequate and continuous control is exercised over the activities affecting quality.
  • Interface with all departments to ensure a cooperative effort.
  • Position may require a U.S. security clearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED.

PREFERRED

  • B.A./B.S. from a four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in aircraft maintenance with at least 5 years experience operating in a CFR 135 or CFR 121 commercial airline environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent organizational and verbal skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.

PREFERRED

  • Five (5) years prior experience in Maintenance Programs, Engineering, Maintenance Control, Inspection or Quality Assurance .
  • Experience with the TRAX computerized maintenance tracking system.
