Description

Drive compliance through developing/overseeing operational and safety audits in concert with SMS and regulatory standards.  Lead Training Compliance Team with regulatory, service and operational goals.  Responsible for Business Partner Certified Trainer Program, RSA Initial Training and OJT to ensure compliance of training and ensure proper materials are available and being utilized   Support station initiatives as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA and Training Compliance team to ensure safety and procedural policies are being followed.   Develop and maintain audit checklist that identify safety hazards and proactively work to develop corrective action plans with various departments and service providers.
  • Identify areas of operational, corporate and regulatory non-compliance. Identify non-compliant business partner practices, perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Analyze the reliability and integrity of Spirit Airlines Airport Operations. Monitor trends and recommend solutions for problematic areas.
  • Retain level of familiarity with Airport Services concepts, practices, procedures and applicable federal regulations. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provide flexibility in implementing training programs that reflect the dynamics of an airport environment.
  • Continuous oversight and participation for airport Operational and Safety audits incorporating Corrective Actions for airports. 

 

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Airport/airline experience with prior leadership experience within a learning organization.
  • Prior internal audit experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure with accuracy while meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Passport for extensive travel and must be willing to be fingerprinted and have the ability to pass a background check to obtain security badges for airport locations. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Highly skilled with communication both written and verbal to all stakeholders.
  • Experienced in execution of training and organized meetings and training events.

 

Preferred skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Communication/English/Arts.
  • Audit development experience
  • Multi-Lingual (Spanish & English).
  • Knowledge of Navitaire.
  • SMS experience.
  • IOSA Certification and/or Q-Pulse Experience.
