  • Own and define the end-to-end user experience of web, mobile, and kiosk UI
  • Execute company initiatives into clearly defined product and project plans
  • Lead project teams by defining strategies, timelines, and approach
  • Facilitate and manage cross-department & vendor collaboration
  • Evaluate, select and manage designers and external vendors
  • Work with IT and technology vendors to scope out and plan for website changes for improved user experience
  • Identify latest innovations in online user experience from travel industry and beyond and evaluate potential to improve user experience at HA's websites

Basic Requirements

  • Project management experience
  • Product management experience
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD) methodology, interface design standards and best practices, and current UI technologies
  • Strong understanding of online design, marketing and advertising
  • Experience with techniques in formal and informal usability testing
  • Good understanding of benefits and constraints of current Internet technologies
  • Broad understanding of the web and associated technologies and proficiency with a range of appropriate software tools
  • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. wireframes, prototypes, etc)
  • Solid visual design skills
  • Ability to create wireframes and mock ups to convey designs and layouts
  • Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator
  • A passion for creating products that resonate on an emotional level
  • Working knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and CSS
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to work with a blank slate and inspire others

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree, relevant certifications and professional training programs
  • Understanding of Asian web design best practices
  • Fluency with design software, such as Photoshop, Adobe Design Suite a plus
  • Background in web design and copy writing
  • Some familiarity with or direct experience working in Agile/Lean development environment
  • Asian language ability a plus
  • BS in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Over five years of professional experience, with over two years as a manager with direct reports in the specific industry / functional area
