Job Description

Position Purpose:

  • Responsible for managing production issues, bug fixes and maintenance items and implementations to payroll systems

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tracks production issues, bug fixes, and maintenance type items required for compliance and or legal requests

  • Oversees the design, development, testing and implementation of production fixes, bug fixes and maintenance items to payroll systems for items required for improving internal controls, increasing efficiency, reducing costs, or required due to legal or compliance

  • Works with team to develops test plans for delivery of new functionality and upgrades.

  • Works closely with Payroll and Payroll IT teams to coordinate implementation of system changes in the most effective time frame

  • Provides Training and documentation to Payroll for process and system changes

  • Ensures production validation of the system changes is thorough and complete

  • Works with IT to meet project plans for system changes

  • Motivates, develops, and provides leadership for testers and analysts

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field

  • At least 7 years payroll and accounting experience, including three or more years of financial management experience

  • At least 5 years experience with system design and implementation

  • Previous project management work experience

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent analytical abilities

  • Knowledge of financial and operational controls, tax regulations, payroll and accounting and reporting requirements

  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software

  • SAP Payroll knowledge is preferred
