Description
 SUMMARY: The Manager of Production Projects is responsible for the coordination, support and efficient implementation of the companys sales, customer support and production strategy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish and maintain lines of communication between customer and internal AAR departments necessary for efficient and timely output of quality product. Establish and direct changes, as needed, in materials organization to enhance product schedules and quality to meet or exceed customer requirements. Effective implementation of programs from R&D to full scale production set up and processing. Review and direct scheduling, release, movement and closing of incoming jobs to ensure manufacturing data, material inventory levels, estimated production hours, customer lead times and production quotas are maintained. Direct information flow between Engineering and Production to produce/provide manufacturing information for customer product. Initiate and direct solutions to production line issues. Perform customer support function during the production efforts. Perform customer support function in trouble-shooting RMA issues. Complete management of program specific jobs as required by customer needs or schedule. Inclusive of engineering direction or performance; production management; Oracle scheduling and tracking; day-to-day work with production personnel, purchasing, Quality Assurance and other departments as required to meet or exceed customer expectations. Assist in continuous improvement and ISO requirements. Back up for production coordinator/planner and inventory control duties. Adheres to all AAR Safety Procedures and Safety Accountabilities (Ref SP-011). All other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications
 QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory/management experience. Proficiency with computer based application, Microsoft Office and Lotus CC Mail. Proficiency with CAD programs including MicroCadam and AutoCad LT. Production planning and engineering experience. Two years experience Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematics Reasoning Ability: Ability to be responsive and persuasive to customer needs and all levels of the organization. Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimal supervision. Ability to convey a professional and positive image to guests and customers. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
