Summary: The Manager Quality will develop, implement, manage and maintain effective Quality policies and procedures that meet the criteria for ISO compliance as well as Corporate and government ground and aviation requirements. 
 
Duties/Responsibilities: 
•  
  • Develops, implements, and manages the program-specific quality, environmental health and safety initiatives.
  • Manages the Program quality and safety plan as described in contract and task orders. Incorporates customer requirements in all process improvement activities.
  • Responsible for Program deliverables as bid.
  • Serves as Program Leader for quality and safety.  
  • Coordinates the implementation at the program sites to ensure corporate-sponsored best practices for quality assurance processes are implemented and followed.
  • Works collaboratively with Program Leadership to develop, implement and sustain continual process improvement programs, including Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Reviews the achievements and action plans of Program Site Process Action Teams (PATs).  
  • Accountable for on time delivery of high quality improvement projects within the Program.
  • Acts as the Program’s change agent.
  • Works with internal customers, external customers and program leadership as needed to meet goals and communicate performance to the Program Leadership.
  • Reviews Program Site reports to ensure environmental health and safety programs conform to established standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, thereby achieving high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Reviews and ensures DI and host nation health and safety regulations.
  • Reviews incident investigations, root cause analysis and closure of corrective actions.
  • Promotes health and safety awareness.
  • Coaches and Coordinates the development and implementation of program-specific process improvement initiatives including Lean Six Sigma, CMMI and safety and health initiatives.
  • Conduct audits, inspections to ensure compliance with DI policies and procedures and implement corrective actions as required.
  • May serve as liaison between for the Programs to various governmental agencies inside or outside the United States.
  • Develops, collects and reports performance metrics as needed at the PMO Level.
  • Participates in the identification and implementation of all continuous process improvement activities.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

 
Knowledge/Skills:
•  
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt with in-depth practical application of Lean maintenance service line methodology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the application of quality management tools to non-manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement approaches, including change management.
  • Expert use of Microsoft Window Suite, most notably with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial safety programs and OSHA regulations.
  • Industrial hygiene experience and OSHA training experience desired.
  • Experience in ISO 9001, CMMI, Lean Six Sigma quality processes and OSHA VPP or FAA SMS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include ability to work autonomously with very limited supervision as well as collaboratively with others.


 
Experience/Education:
• 
  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in Continuous Improvement, Quality Systems and/or Safety & Industrial Hygiene.
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience in any combination of the following areas:
    • Quality Management/Assurance
    • Environmental, Health & Safety
    • ISO-9000, CMMI, Lean Six Sigma, FAA Safety Management System (SMS), OSHA VPP and/or ISO 14001 compliance
    • Formal training and certification in Lean Six Sigma, CMMI, or ISO experience desired.
    • OSHA 10 or 30 Hours General Industry certification.

  • Minimum of three years in a leadership role supervising over a staff of 1-3 employees.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment
  • Works mainly in an office environment, must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • May be exposed to loud noises on the flight lines of Military Sites.
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and squat as needed for the office.
  • Position may expose the employee to up to 15 pounds of lifting.
