JOB DUTIES

The main facility is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, but this position could also work out of the Austin, Texas facility.

Develop, Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes buy utilizing knowledge of product design, material and parts, Fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards. 
 
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout.
 
Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
 
Monitor manufacturing activities, measure significant process characteristics and analyze variation in order to detect and reduce waste/scrap.
 
Support the manufacturing process by taking corrective and preventative action on production delays and deviations, and support root cause analysis.
 
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished - product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
 
Lead or participate in cross functional teams designed to maximize productivity.
 
Analyze and recognize patterns and trends in key performance indicators.
 
Maintain professional knowledge and technical knowledge.
 
Knowledge of tooling and fixtures.
 
Travel, shift work, and special hours may be required to accomplish some of the above tasks. 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

CAD, Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Word and Excel (advanced)

Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred
 
Familiar with Computer automated and controlled equipment 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
 
Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behaviors, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, an encouragement to other employees, and departments.
 
Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FlightSafety materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FlightSafety products.
 
Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
 
Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
