**Looking for LOCAL candidates**


Position Description 
This Manufacturing Engineering position requires familiarity with manufacturing processes used to manufacture high reliability components including cable harnesses, RF/microelectronics, Antennas, Circuit Cards, modules and box assemblies for aerospace applications. Understanding engineering drawings, processing constraints and techniques for electronics products coupled with innovative thinking is required. Responsibilities include determining sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, solving production problems and developing working relationships with multi-disciplined team of people who are dedicated to effectively and efficiently planning and building electronic assemblies. Knowledge base should include familiarity with complex harness assemblies, SAP or VE-CAMs routings, SAP or VE-CAMs MBOMs, and non-conformance processing. 

Skills Required 
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and define manufacturing steps to meet all requirements. 
  • Experience Generating Manufacturing Work Instructions 
  • Understanding of industry standards e.g. IPC, J-STD, LM MAPs, MIL-Spec., etc. 
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes (crimping, wire termination, sleeving, lacing, Wire bonding, adhesive dispensing, SMT, PTH, Bonding, Coating, X-Ray, AOI, etc.) 
  • Non conformance processing (i.e. defect disposition, cause and corrective action, etc.) 
  • Experience managing Bills of Material 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • General computer skills (MS Office Suite Software) 

    Skills Preferred 
  • Familiarity with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material) 
  • Familiarity with Company tools(EPDM, PMP Database, SAP, IDS etc.) 
  • Defect trending 
  • Hands on experience with solder, wiring, torque, epoxy bonding, and other electronics assembly processes 
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience 
  • New Process development and experience validating processes for flight applications 

    Experience Required 
    - 2+ years experience 

    Education Required 
    - BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
