Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Level 1 (2) for an opening in Lexington, KY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1st, 2nd or 3rd shift schedules may be required. On-aircraft and off operations. In this role, The employee will review mechanical designs for ease of manufacturing and work closely with design engineering for improvements. The employee will use their knowledge of interpreting and reading engineering design drawings to develop fabrication routers/work instructions. This role will also require the employee to develop bill of materials (BOMs) based on drawing parts lists. The employee will work with manufacturing on issues and process improvements.

Jobscope experience TeamCenter Engineering experience Production Engineering experience Production Operations experience Mechanical Experience Electrical Experience with Lean Six Sigma practices SOF CLSS contract. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Excellent verbal and written communications skills

EDUCATION:

Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering Degree.

WORK HOURS:

5/40, 1st Shift, Full-Time
