We have an immediate opening for a Sr. Engineering Technician in Santa Fe Springs, Ca.

ROLE: The Engineering Technician is responsible for movement, characterization and documentation of CMC panels and parts through all manufacturing operations. This individual will also be involved with day to day monitoring and troubleshooting of process controls and instrumentation. Technician will collect and analyze process data for internal review and assist with destructive and non-destructive assessment of panels/parts. This individual will also assist with uptime performance of the Furnace equipment, performs, and engaged with preventative maintenance on plant equipment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist with development of improved CMC materials for high temperature application. • Responsible for maintaining part process history and characteristics • Assist with physical inspection and destructive as well as non-destructive characterization efforts • Assist load/un-load activities as well as instrumentation/measurement system modifications • Assist in developing operating specifications for furnace processing. • Assist with process improvement and cost reduction activities. • Assist with review of as-built systems in conjunction with the Construction Supervisor and project engineers. • Ensure new equipment is installed in accordance with the plant mechanical and electrical specifications. • Help develop and continuously improve Preventative Maintenance activities.

Qualification:
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS: This is a Safety Sensitive position that requires entry into FAA drug pool.
All applicantsmust completea pre-employment drug test
and as an employee take part in random drug tests, as required, each quarter.
A minimum of 15years of experience with composite materials.
experience with tooling, material characterization, testing and inspection.
Knowledge of CVD process.

SKILLSREQUIRED: Performdimensional inspection.

Familiar with destructive and non-destructive test methods Ability to read and understand part drawings and tolerances
+ P&IDsand Electrical

Cabinet Drawings

Proficiencyin MicrosoftOffice required.

PREFERRED:

Direct experience with instrumentation calibration, and preventative maintenance of process controls.
Contractor managementand oversight experience

Education: Associate's/TechnicalDegree OR 15Years of material characterization, testing, CVD furnace operations, composite fixturing experience in lieu of
education.
