This position will be in support of material and mechanical projects supporting our aircraft customers. The engineer will work on a team to determine cause of component/material failures and provide material solutions. The engineer will interpret technical documentation and publications related to materials, incorporating those technical details concisely into reports for the customer. Additionally the engineer will work to ensure proper system artwork generation, implement design changes of existing products as potential quality issues arise, address obsolete components, and write Engineering Change Orders as required.
Education/Experience: This position requires a Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience. Aerospace or military experience is a definite plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace alloys or composites, will have performed failure analysis on components and participated in material substitution studies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD is a plus. The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
