Training Systems & Government Services has an immediate need for an entry level Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and modifications of aircraft training systems such as the P-8A, F-15, and AH-64. Design responsibilities will include both airframe design and subsystems design. Airframe design requirements include, but not limited to, structural design of weldments, sheet metal, machining and fused deposition modeling. Subsystems include, but not limited to, equipment cabinetry design and training specific equipment- computational equipment, I/O equipment, video and display equipment, aural cue and communication equipment, control loading equipment, motion seat equipment, and power equipment. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, performing system tests to verify operational and functional requirements; assisting suppliers; supporting the resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies; and researching basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. A Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Experience in mechanical design.
Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
One or more years using the 3D modeling tool Unigraphics NX.
