This position will support mechanical analysis projects supporting our F-16 customer and will work with the customer on Hill AFB. Specifically, the engineer will provide analyses, planning and draft documentation to address mechanical systems safety, suitability, and effectiveness requirements. The engineer will perform engineering and configuration analysis, and develop engineering technical requirements for F-16 mechanical system components. Tasks include but are not limited to engineering evaluation, analysis, and recommended disposition of technical assistance requests for F-16 mechanical systems. The engineer will develop and manage large MS Excel spreadsheets. The engineer will write technical reports detailing analyses in MS Word as well as Adobe Pro. The engineer will be required to brief findings to the customer. This job will be performed on Hill AFB.
Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
Experience:/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills. The candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. The candidate must be able to obtain access to Hill AFB.
The preferred candidate will have:
- Knowledge of finite element analysis techniques and SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Aerospace or military experience
- Aircraft systems experience
