Job Requirements :

Flight Specialties Components Corp. (FSC), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Inspector to assist in manufacturing electro-mechanical components at our facility in Highland Heights, Ohio.

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES

* This position reports directly to the FSC Quality Manager.

* Participate in certain aspects of product inspection and verification for assigned aircraft components, as detailed below –

* Perform mechanical inspection of electromechanical components to assure parts meet all aspects of the design requirements using precision measuring equipment

* Accurately and completely document inspection results.

* Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, certificates, conducting

visual inspection and coordinating laboratory tests.

* Ensure that adequate corrective measures are implemented in case of noncompliance.

* Verify all activities required in the receiving process are performed correctly and completely.

* Assist the engineering function during the design cycle to document and evaluate prototype designs.

* Assist the engineering function with quality process definition.

* Work with suppliers to guarantee clear requirements and quality components.

* Manage internal records and documentation.

* Perform other activities as assigned by management.

This position may require less than 5% travel to visit suppliers, customers and attend training, including locations outside the United States.

* EDUCATION / PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* High school diploma must have 3 to 5 years of experience in a quality control function.

* Two year Degree in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred.

* 3 to 5 years of experience in a quality control function is required.

* The ability to understand GD&T, blueprints, drawings, technical documents and ensure that products meet quality standards is required.

* Experience with First Article Inspection and Non-conformity reports is required.

* Visual inspection experience.

* The ability to perform mechanical part layout gage calibrations is required.

* Familiar in the use of Microsoft Office products required.

* Experience working to commercial aerospace standards highly desired.

* Knowledge of electrical and electromechanical devices such as Liquid Crystal Displays, LED lighting, Printed Circuit Boards, Pressure and Temperature Sensors, etc. including testing requirements and drawing requirements is highly desired.

* Hands-on prototype, manufacturing or repair shop experience is desired.

* Successful candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

* Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and have the drive and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

* U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
