Established in 1985, the Phoenix Electronics Operations’ products and services consist of final assembly, test, and integration of electronic controls for commercial and military aircraft with an embedded Repair organization. One of our major strategic initiatives entails becoming a manufacturing center of excellence with Lean Transformation taking us from ACE Silver to Gold 12.0 status within the near future. We have content in over 60,000 aircrafts and we are AS9100 certified; ISO 9001: 2000; CAAC; EASA; and FAA approved. We have received OSHA VPP status and recognized for passing over 12 million hours without lost-time injury. We have an opportunity for a results-driven Operations Center Manager overseeing the entire assembly and test operations within the assigned cell to include new product introductions. Direct leadership responsibility of 5 - 10 direct reports and an organization of about 60 salaried and factory associates. The position is directly responsible for On Time Delivery of our products to the customer, quality excellence, and cost of products and indirectly responsible for external Supply Chain performance which includes supplier management. * Provides leadership for salaried and factory talent to include employee training and development, employee engagement, and performance management. * Monitors and ensures efficient utilization of resources, equipment and facilities. * Creates a safe working environment, ensuring implementation of safety policies, procedures and programs and adhering to requirements under EPA, DPA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. * Provides leadership to foster the ACE continuous improvement philosophy and lean process discipline in the operation striving to achieve and sustain an ACE gold status. * Assures adherence to standard operating practices/methods and maintaining a positive work environment. *Leads Safety and environment
Qualifications BA/BS degree w/6–10+ years relevant operations, supply chain, engineering and/or operations experience required OR •MA/MS degree w/4–7+ years’ relevant operations, supply chain, engineering and/or operations experience required OR •Demonstrated ability to facilitate and manage change effectively •Demonstrated ability to interact with technical community (internal and external Customers) •Demonstrated use of ACE processes, or background in lean production six sigma principles •Solid understanding of Operations Financials, Productivity, and other key Operational metrics •Demonstrated leadership and commitment to safety and environment - Due to programs & projects we support, the candidate must be an US Person (US Citizen / Green Card Holder).
Education Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or other applicable discipline is required MS or MBA degree a plus
