Supports the Astrodynamics function with mission planning and mission operations. Includes the optimization and design of transfer and on-station concepts of operations that meet system-level constraints and customer requirements. Participates in mission operations readiness and execution activities. Works with Flight Operations Integrated Product Team to define and flow requirements. Participates in the design of mission unique analysis and operations tools.
• Experience in astrodynamics (orbital mechanics and analysis).
• Experience working modeling and simulation for spacecraft mission design.
• Ability to work shift during spacecraft mission activities.
This position requires an active (or the ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
This position requires a Current SSBI
Experience in astrodynamics (orbit mechanics) analysis.
• ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Typical Education / Experience:
Level 3: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 7 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
