This position is to support the Company Research & Technology (BR&T) Program Support Parts, Materials and Process (PMP) team in the identification, development, evaluation, selection and qualification of parts, materials and related processes to be used in high reliability and strategic space applications. Will work with senior PMP engineers to develop and apply knowledge of devices, military standards and best commercial practices for selection and determination of screening, survivability and failure analysis requirements for parts and materials used. Will work with senior PMP engineers to resolve complex technical problems requiring ingenuity and innovation, as well as coordinating with parts manufacturers to resolve technical issues. Also supports collaboration with the customer and supply base in execution of a PMP control board. Works under general supervision. Familiarity with MDA PMAP requirements and/or experience is preferred.
Knowledge of materials, substances and their characteristics
Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
