JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to the Managing Director - Technical Sales & Marketing for developing and implementing Technical Operations, direct DTO MRO Services sales strategies to include: sales methodologies and marketing strategies resulting in increased revenue and profitability for Technical Operations. Must identify market opportunities, perpetuate the brand, contact potential airline and MRO customers, develop proposals/business cases, present Technical Operations world class services, negotiate terms, prepare contracts and "close the deal". Coordinate and communicate the needs of the customer and details of the contract with Technical Operations departments and the Technical Services Account Management group. Follow up with and maintain customer contacts and professional relationships. Track sales metrics, review progress and provide explanations for variances. Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
Bachelors degree in a Technical or Business discipline or the equivalent in job experience is required; however, a graduate degree (e.g. MBA) or equivalent job experience in related fields preferred. Should exhibit a professional demeanor, confidence and marketing savvy while performing in a competitive environment under extreme pressure. Must be persistent and persuasive yet demonstrate strong customer service skills. Working knowledge of consumers in aviation technical services industry, how to perform market analysis, presenting proposals/business cases, developing marketing strategies, communicating a brand, preparing contracts and media management, relationship management are highly preferred. Should be a strategic thinker, risk taker and creative problem solver. Should have the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment (multi-tasking). Should have strong negotiating, decision making and organizational skills. Strong communication skills, both oral and written desired. Must adhere to and embrace Delta's leadership values. Should be a team player yet self-motivated. Previous experience with Microsoft applications strongly preferred. Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
