This position requires a current Secret Clearance (or higher).

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

The National Team provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. C2BMC is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System and links various sensors and weapon systems. This program provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against multiple ranges of threats and in all phases of flight.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Early Career Network Systems Engineer (C2BMC) the successful candidate will be part of the Network Development team and assist the senior network design engineers with the design and development of network components supporting the C2BMC BMDS Communications Network.

Specific areas include design, implementation, integration, and testing as well as support of the network development life cycle with peer reviews, documentation and configuration management adhering to the project level process plans.

Travel may be required including OCONUS to support site deployment of spiral upgrades.

This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.

This position requires a current Secret Clearance (or higher).

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Qualifications:

* This position requires an active (or the ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

* This position requires a current Secret Clearance (or higher).

* Bachelor's degree (or higher) education.

* DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA

Preferred Skills:

* Bachelor of Science in the Computer Science field, or equivalent experience (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT) strongly preferred.

* Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNA) and Juniper (JNCIA) and components is preferred.

* Working knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP.

* Network communication concepts and architectures, including network transport services and concepts.

* Knowledge, skill sets or experience using protocol analyzers/sniffers (such as Wireshark).

* Experience with TACACS+, RADIUS, Active Directory.

* Experience in Network Management Systems (HP Network Node Manager or Solarwinds or NAS/SAN technologies (NetApp, or Gigastore).
