Position Description

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1.Participate in the customer design process in developing RF connectivity solutions utilizing Glass-to-Metal Seals and Ceramic-to-Metal Seals.
2.Accountable for RF laboratory measurements and equipment (e.g., vector network analyzer, LCR Bridge, impedance meter). Can perform simulation and laboratory testing on both existing and new products.
3.Strong working knowledge of industry RF connectors (SMA, SMP, SMPM, SMPx). Able to apply practical mathematical and theoretical principles of RF impedance matching networks, transmission lines, tuners, power amplifiers and strip line.
4.Research components, parts and processes as required. Realize the results of research into practical product and process solutions.
5.Provide overall Technical Support to all manufacturing processes where needed (and not necessarily limited to Electrical Engineering issues only).
6.Develop processes and procedures, create documentation, and provide training to production personnel.
7.Trouble shoot non-compliant products to determine root cause and develop corrective/preventative actions.
8.Work with suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues.
9.Monitor quality and efficiency in all manufacturing operations and take actions for improvement.
10.Develop and design tools, fixtures, molds and automation to increase quality and efficiency.
11.Up to 30% travel, both domestic and international

Responsibility and Decision Making:
Decides feasibility and producibility of products. Decisions related to component design, fixture design, process flow, manufacturing and cost reduction suggestions will be required.

Position Requirements

Education Preferred: BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited US college or university. Experience in RF and EM simulation software, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office particularly Excel for data analysis, graphing and presentation.

Experience Preferred: Minimum 5 years experience in design and manufacturing of RF power and Microwave products from 300KHz to at least 100GHz in general, and applications such as packages and connectors in particular. Experience in microelectronic industry is a plus.

Major Function: Participate in the design of products and development of processes for manufacturing of packages and connectors with RF power and Microwave content both in Commercial and Defense Markets.

Perform a wide variety of crossover engineering functions from design, prototyping, process development and improvement, and definition of testing and quality controls.
