Boeing South Carolina is seeking a motivated and charismatic Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialist. Selected candidate will work with the EHS Team, Leadership Teams, and interact with business partners to provide EHS Support.
Some of the tasks and responsibilities with this role are as follows:
Plans, implements and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Develops and leads training and instructions. Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations.
Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies.
Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues.
Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections.
Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions.
Analyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods.
Conducts industrial hygiene sampling and prepares/reviews technical reports to ensure quality of content for regulatory compliance.
Conducts complex hazard investigations.
Leads projects and advises work group members on resolving issues and mitigation impact.

Experience in Industrial Hygiene.
Experience working with teammates and management to improve safety performance.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g. Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Engineering, etc.).
Radiation Safety experience.
Experience with EHS Regulations.
Experience working in a cross functional environment.
Experience maintaining an Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
Understanding of building organizational talent, general business acumen, and experience with project management.
Excellent communication skills, able to work across organizational boundaries and build cross-functional partnerships.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
