Overview:

This well rounded position will assist Operations Planning in scheduling and maintaining the most efficient and viable Operations Plan. Scheduling and departmental tasks will be in support of, but not limited to, Scheduled Service, ACMI/CMI, charter (passenger/cargo) and large capacity freighter (LCF) operations. The Operations Planner will also support the Data Auditing Unit on an as needed basis and may be assigned special projects as required by the Department.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinates the implementation of seasonal and ad hoc schedules in consideration of maintenance events, aircraft performance, crew and ground resources, regulatory constraints and airport limitations; conflict resolution is achieved through close coordination with System Operations and other departments;
* Ensures all schedules and revisions to schedules are properly communicated to all internal departments and customers;
* Assigns aircraft to maximize block hour utilization and minimize direct operational costs;
* May assist in procuring, auditing and archiving log pages and flight documentation; supports end-of-month statistical flight data close-outs;
* May lists jumpseats, process flight deck authorizations from the FAA, and maintain the non-crew database in AIMS;
* Assists System Operations on operational matters as needed; tasks may include, but not be limited to: research and project development; assisting with flight coding, delay coding and reporting; peak season planning and coordinating start-up activities; maintaining the block time, airport, customer, and aircraft registry databases; facilitating Continuous Improvement initiatives;

Qualifications:

* 3+ years airline experience preferred; System Operations experience a plus;
* Excellent communication, facilitation, resolution and leadership skills;
* Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities; creative; able to visualize scenarios, formulate optimal outcomes and make sound decisions given changing operational parameters;
* Organized; focused; attentive to detail ;
* Works independently with minimal direction; manages priorities and meets deadlines in a fast paced often stressful environment;
* Places high emphasis on customer service;
* Proficient in MS Office Suite and AIMS; world geography familiarity a plus;
* Schedule flexibility including 24/7 on-call availability;
