This position would be at the center of a highly leveraged analysis group, working to provide insights throughout the company. Must be willing to use all tools at their disposal to forecast revenues and analyze a myriad of business drivers. The analyst would also be expected to explore multiple data sources, including developing new sources, to generate actionable commercial insights.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive forecasts for a myriad of revenue related categories weekly and quarterly, constantly striving for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support multiple departments by compiling historical data as well as forecasting future trends.
  • Analyze customer data to determine drivers of ticket and ancillary revenues. 
  • Develop and monitor pricing initiatives for ancillary revenues.
  • Work with RM, and statistical models to monitor and analyze booking trends.
  • Run necessary reports on a timely basis and send the information to appropriate people.
  • Participate in the creation of regular reports for Senior Management
  • Interact with IT, Revenue Management, Pricing, Distribution, and other departments in order to maximize revenue.
Requirements

Analyst

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Aviation Management or related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • At least 1 year of experience in revenue management or finance (Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Aviation Management or related field will be considered in lieu of years of experience, but experience is strongly preferred)
  • Programming skills with preference given to SQL and SAS
  • Strong analytical skills, communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to learn quickly
  • Must be able to independently identify a problem area and sift through multiple data sources
  • Able to efficiently summarize variances and present recommendation to upper management
  • Strong grasp of revenue management theory and concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work under general direction with latitude in planning workload to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to handle confidential material.
  • High degree of PC skills (MS Office applications, database tools, etc.)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, able to take ownership and deliver results
  • Listens actively, learns, teaches and give constructive feedback to analysts
  • Uses sound judgment and sets a good example

Senior Analyst

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Aviation Management or related field or equivalent work experience.  Advanced degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, or operations research preferred..
  • At least 3 years of experience in airline revenue management, airline planning or finance
  • Advanced level MS Excel experience
  • Programming skills in SQL and SAS
  • Strong analytical skills, communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to learn quickly
  • Must be able to independently identify a problem area and sift through multiple data sources
  • Able to efficiently summarize variances and present recommendation to upper management
  • Strong grasp of revenue management theory and concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work under general direction with latitude in planning workload to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to handle confidential material.
  • High degree of PC skills (MS Office applications, database tools, etc.)
