The Field Pilot Recruiter plays a key role in creating a qualified pool of pilot candidates, in advance need, to fill vacancies and is responsible to attract the most qualified individual.
Responsible to recruit prospective pilots thru interviewing, answering benefits questions, and hiring in accordance with policies established my management. Dealing with all types of people is an important part of the job.
Travel with required and, at certain times, may be extensive
Visit Flight Schools
Attend Career Fairs/Job Fairs
Pre-screen applicant resumes
Coordinate qualified applicants with Flight Manager for interviews
Check emails while away from the office to assist New Hire Pilots with issues
Send out applications and study material for interviewees
Book travel to St. Louis, MO for interviews
On the day of the interviews:
meet and greet, administer ATP Exam, and monitor pilot interviews to include paperwork, simulator evaluation and travel.
Arrange Skype interview
Keep a class log and maintain all pilot paperwork for New Hire Orientation
Continue to make contacts with local hotels and individuals with crash-pads to assist new hires with housing for their training needs
Schedule and attend pilot recruitment events in coordination with Flight Manager
Responsible for ordering promotional items as well as shipping items to the venue
Coordinate travel arrangements for Pilot Manager and Pilot Interviewers
Hotel accommodations, rental cars, and positive-space airline travel
Maintain liaisons with industry contacts and Flight Schools
Maintain pilot databases and provide monthly hiring reports to Recruiting Supervisor
