If you would like to become part of our growing successful organization, we have an opportunity for the right candidate as an: Ovens Helper/Laborer (Forklist Driver) - 1st Shift
Under the supervision of the department foreman, the primary role of the Ovens Helper/Laborer (Forklift Driver) is to drive the forklift and support all departments by taking pallets (parts) to them. Will assist the Ovens department staff as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions are the core duties or tasks that the employee will perform. List the duties that are central to performing the most basic functions of the job.
1. Responsible for driving the forklift and taking pallets with parts to designated departments.
2. Wrap boxes, parts with plastic and labels before moving them to the departments.
3. Clean plant by making sure that all boxes are organized and labeled.
4. Make sure that propane tanks are full before installing on forklift, if not will need to fill them.
5. Rack parts to take them to get degreased.
6. Read tickets.
7. Adhere to safety regulations.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate, read, and understand English. Previous experience driving a forklift. Ability to follow precise instructions. Good Vision. Have no hand or finger movement restrictions. Must have excellent hand/eye coordination. Ability to communicate with management and co-workers. Work well with others as part of a team. Able to multi-task and open to working overtime. Must have the physical strength and endurance to perform tasks.
