PURPOSE
One Sky Flight, LLC., the second largest private aviation company, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Human Resources Department as a Payroll & Benefits Specialist.  These positions support two primary sister companies, Flight Options(located in Richmond Heights, Ohio and an 11-time Northcoast 99 winner!) and Flexjet (located in Dallas, Texas).  Overall, this position will assist with the preparation and distribution of payroll checks and earning statements for several business units. In addition, the selected candidate will support all aspects of employee benefits and benefit information and provide information to new and current employees. This position reports directly to the Compensation & Benefits Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll:

  • Ensure payroll processing is completed in a timely manner consistent with company deadlines
  • Assist with processing & submission of semi-monthly payroll information to ADP and with parent company
  • Coordinate and perform activities to update employee’s records with HR departments
  • Prepare garnishment reporting, employee head count reporting, and employment verification as required
  • Perform daily and weekly audits of payroll, time & labor entry activity, and payroll databases
  • Assist with completion of month end and quarter end reconciliation of payroll accounts
  • Assist in the coordination and completion of internal and external audits of the Company
  • Support Compensation & Benefits Manager by completing special assignments and other miscellaneous duties assigned through department needs
  • Resolves conflicts with Payroll Provider for the purpose of verifying or correcting paycheck issues that may arise

  • Enter information into benefits platform of payroll processing system
  • Assist with employee benefits questions and direct to appropriate sources for resolution
  • Support Benefits Specialists as needed
  • Maintain employee files

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or similar discipline; 1-2 years experience in HR related field with specific responsibility for payroll processing; a  combination of education and experience 
  • Working knowledge of payroll concepts, practices, and procedures along with HR laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of benefits, HR laws and regulations
  • Experience with Automatic Data Processing (ADP) or comparable HRIS system
  • Able to independently use MS Office products and other technology packages
