This is a recruitment for a Payroll Specialist I. This position will be located in Anchorage at the Ravn Alaska Corporate Headquarters building. This is a full time, benefit eligible position.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required with continuing education in Accounting strongly preferred. Minimum: some payroll processing experience in a high volume, multi-unit payroll environment. Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Able to work with minimal supervision in an office environment with multiple employees and distractions. Intermediate to advanced computer skills are required to perform this job at an acceptable standard.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll functions for designated entities as well as any other duties assigned as designated and trained to perform. This position will be required to work at a fast pace with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Compile payroll data such as garnishments, designated paid time off, insurance and 401k deductions. Process employee time cards and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy. Contact various department supervisors/station managers/designee for any missed times. Process payroll within timelines established for designated companies. Submit monthly Department of Labor reporting data. Reconcile monthly insurance deductions for payment. Prepare and reconcile quarterly taxes. Post and pay, through ACH, payroll taxes for each payroll period. Generate designated reports as instructed and trained to do.
