American Airlines is seeking candidates for an AOG Planner to work at the Integrated Ops Center (IOC) Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Comprehensive Benefit Package provided and airline privileges at and hourly rate of $18.73 USD.

The AOG Department is a centralized communications point for field maintenance, Supply, Technical Services and Base Supply to coordinate material requirements for out of service aircraft, aircraft flying on continued restrictive MEL’s, base critical, MRO support and aircraft engines in repair where work flow is impeded due to lack of material (Parts).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Determine most effective actions to source and route required materials to OTS aircraft anywhere in the world taking into consideration location, cost, vendor, transportation alternatives, probability of effectiveness, and speed of execution

* Update data base to communicate material delivery status and routing plan to Supply, Maintenance Management, MOC and Management

* AOG is a 24/7 operation: Must be willing to work rotating shifts with either days or nights coverage

* Purchase and/or borrow material that is not available in the AA system

* Loan and/or sell AA owned material to other airlines

* Research alternative part number options; submit Engineering Assistance Requests for approval as needed

* Perform other duties as assigned

The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the International Association of Mechanics (IAM) Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

* Undergraduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or equivalent experience/training

* Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.), Sabre RES/DECS, SAP, SCEPTRE, Web based programs such as MAPS, ASOM and VIANET

* Knowledge of aircraft operations as related to Maintenance and Supply

* Knowledge of AA maintenance programs and flight schedules desirable

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience as a Material Logistics Specialist, Stock Clerk, Material Planner, Airline AOG Planner or Supplier Management

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

* Excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills

* Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally

* Ability to work independently with a high degree of motivation

* Ability to function effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively realign priorities in a fast-paced, time sensitive dynamic work environment

* Must be able to make time critical decisions
