Responsibilities:

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

  • Ensure daily engine planning activities in the engine planning team
  • Manage removed engines through SWA engine shop to minimize SWA turnaround time.
  • Uses and assists in developing forecasting models and other planning tools
  • Produce a schedule for Engine /APU removals and replacement, executing such work through Hanger planning.
  • Work Interdepartmentally as well as vendors to create engine asset management and visibility.

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

 

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Qualifications:

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

 

Must be at least 18 years of age.

 

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in Aviation,Engineering, Business or IT related degree or 2-3 years Airline technical operations experience or equivalent Planning or Project management experience preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years Airline technical operations experience or equivalent Planning or Project management experience required

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

  • Experience using Trax/Wizard/Maintenix (MXI) software preferred. 
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills; able to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
  • Builds strong working relationships and provides accurate data driven solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, provides effective recommendations to management and implements change.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CDCS systems.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
