PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT CERTIFICATION ENGINEER III

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Manage, lead and coordinate all company certification programs for aircraft production and modifications obtaining government regulatory approvals in the United States, Canada, Europe, Brazil and other foreign regulatory authorities.

 

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

 

  • Administer and approve standards set up by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Serves as the central point of communications for administrative certification issues between the FAA and the company.
  • Acts as the company expert on the airworthiness regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

Education:

 

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Aerospace or a related field.

 

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a DAR (Designated Airworthiness Representative), D.E.R.,
  • Experience with Commercial and/or Corporate Aircraft Manufacturing.
  • Familiarized/Experienced developing or maintaining an ODA. (STC and PMA)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Must be currently or have the ability to be certified as FAA Designated Engineering Representative.
  • Extensive knowledge aviation engineering processes and products
  • FAA, local regulations, and certifications for North America
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to pass 5-10 year background check, FAA approved drug and/or alcohol prescreening test.

 

Working Conditions / Environment/  Special Requirements

 

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
  • Availability for domestic and international travel
