Description: Chipton Ross is seeking 5 Product Repair/Mod Tech C 's for contract assignments in Seymour Johnson AFB, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair. Experienced in the use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts. Able to perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas. Ability and understanding of locating blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure. Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK HOURS:

7:00-3:30am/FIRST SHIFT

** Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information.

MISCELANEOUS:

-Per Diem approved for 5 weeks for those who qualify. Candidate is maintaining two households with one household outside of a 75 mile radius.

-Individuals must possess their own personal standard tools and possess personal safety shoes compliant with ANSI standards.

- individual must be willing to work nights and overtime as required on short notice
