Description
  • Develop and manage HNL Base Maintenance timelines to efficiently and effectively flow checks and align workload with available manpower
  • Collaborate with Base Maintenance Management in the creation of maintenance visit plans and project flow to ensure continuity
  • Provide daily status of projects versus timelines of all Base Maintenance aircraft
  • Reports daily on man hours for each Base Maintenance aircraft to include total man hours and remaining man hours as well as daily available man hour resources
  • Analyze project progression and recommend timeline adjustments to Base Maintenance management as necessary
  • Monitors the management of the aircraft prescribed shortage list and reports daily on shortage status as well as risk mitigation plans
  • Train new hire personnel in all aspects of Production Control
  • Maintain databases of base workload capabilities and manpower availability to accurately plan and schedule work assignments
  • Prepare and conduct meetings with internal company personnel as well as outside vendors
  • Coordinate with various departments in the completion of key responsibilities including the creation of accountability tools such as communication logs and checklists
  • To establish personal goals in support of divisional and departmental objectives and to manage same in the PDP system
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Production Control Supervisor and Manager of Maintenance Planning
Requirements
  • High School diploma
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic
  • Minimum of 2 years aircraft maintenance planning experience or significant substitute experience in a relevant field
  • Must have knowledge of aircraft systems and ATA codes
  • Demonstrable proficiency in with the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Primarily Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Project
  • Must have excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Must possess relevant analytical skills pertaining to forecasting, planning, and time lining of maintenance projects
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must be an effective team player who is also self-directed
  • Must be able to make independent decisions and to effectively coordinate with internal and external personnel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Knowledge of the A330, 767 and 717 aircraft systems
  • Proficiency in the use of current Hawaiian Airlines computer maintenance programs to include, Trax, Sceptre and Sabre or equivalent
  • Experience managing projects
  • Work experience in Hawaii
