Overview:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Controller is responsible to set up and run a Production Control Booth providing accurate accountability and visibility to “HAECO Special Services” management and Customers.  The Production Controller is also responsible to work within budgeted time and meet HAECO, FAA, and customer standards of quality.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  1. Audit and prep for new packages prior to aircraft arrival for accurate accountability.
  2. Enter all job cards (non-routine and over-and-above work), estimated labor hours, new operations, routings, and any changes from Aircraft Maintenance Management accurately and using appropriate work break-down codes into the HAECO Special Services computer system.
  3. Update status and enter corrective actions for all completed operations into the MAJIC system.
  4. Ensure daily entries are read and written in the PC Turnover Log to include any vital information for the oncoming shift.
  5. Actively generate and receive all RFTS’s and attachments generated by Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering as required.
  6. Prepare all routings for parts fabrication and multiple function jobs requiring in process work steps.
  7. Ensure tally books are accurate and complete for all routine/non-routine cards and audits are performed on a regular basis.  Inform the Manager or Lead of any problems.
  8. Ensure all completed operations are thoroughly audited for completeness including signatures and stamps.
  9. Ensure each work card is closed in the system and in the tally.
  10. Assist in the organization and maintenance of the Production Board/Work Card Racks.
  11. Provide accurate project status reports to management as requested.
  12. Ensure all closed items, with tally, are routed to Aircraft Records as soon as possible after closure.
  13. Interface with Aircraft Records prior to an aircraft departure to assure accounting of all paperwork.
  14. Maintain efficient operations and work closely with Aircraft Maintenance, Quality Control, Planning, Stores, Tooling, and customer personnel to ensure the timely completion of a project.
  15. Ensure accountability to conduct themselves within all guidelines of company, FAA, and customer policies, work rules, and regulations (ex. Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM), (Airworthiness Agreements), etc.
  16. Ensure all paperwork is accurate, legible, and accounted for at all times.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  1. Assist in the training of other employees as well as assisting them in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling, and guidance.
  2. Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
  3. Keep own and adjacent work area clean.
  4. Perform other work as instructed by the Manager Quality Control/Chief Inspector or Project Manager, if qualified.

Qualifications:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
  3. Basic computer background required with familiarity of HAECO mainframe computer systems.
  4. Self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
  5. Read, write and understand the English language.
  6. Must be able to type thirty (30) words per minute error free.

PREFERRED:

  1. Three (3) years large commercial aircraft related experience
  2. Familiarity with aircraft required documentation
