Job Description (Position Summary and Essential Functions): Duties of the Production Superintendent (Aircraft Maintenance Manager): Under Supervision of the Director of Maintenance and Assistant Director of Maintenance, ensure Doss Aviation and Maintenance Department policies and procedures are followed on the second shift.
Coordinate shift scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work assignments.
Perform duties of Repair Station Chief Inspector. Ensure/validate productivity and quality goals are met for the maintenance department.
Enforce OSHA and Doss Aviation safety standards.
Coordinate with Flight Operations for provision of aircraft to flying schedule and resolution of pilot-reported discrepancies.
Manage training program by Performing/ Coordinating/verifying training of department employees.
Recommend and coordinate aircraft impoundment actions.
Manage and coordinate scheduling changes for the next day and provide necessary management reports and notifications.
Maintain daily aircraft status sheet and slides, generate daily recap reports.
Manage emergency response, lead crash/recovery efforts, direct aircraft off-base recovery efforts.
Manage technical order library by verifying and implementing updates.
Assist Management to develop shop procedures as required.
Promote the growth and development of team members by providing effective mentoring and coaching, monitoring and evaluating team members’ performance.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft power point, excel, and access.
Other duties as assigned by managers. Required Experience, Training, & Certifications:
5 to 7 years Aircraft Maintenance Supervision Required Security Clearance: None Required Education Level: High School Diploma/Equivalent License/Certificate: Airframe & Powerplant with Inspection Authorization Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Acess, and other Office Products Specialized Knowledge or Skills: Knowledge of Part 145 Repair Stations, Composite repairs, Reciprocating engines
