General responsibilities of the position: The production supervisor plays a key role in the organization by having a significant impact on business results, customer satisfaction and the competitiveness of our company. Springboard position into management; the production supervisor also has the mandate of managing major strategic projects.

You will have the following role, among others:
• Achieve operational objectives while mobilizing staff;
• Maintain an efficient and safe work environment;
• Ensure excellent customer relations by offering impeccable service;
• Actively participate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects;
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of a unionized team;
• Ensure the continuous work flow of a shift;
• Responsible for achieving key indicators: On-time delivery, productivity, quality, etc.
• Supervise shift changes.

Specific responsibilities of position: • Employee management;
• Must ensure the prevention of health and safety incidents by actively promoting good practices and appropriate behaviors;
• Must see to ongoing quality improvement by ensuring that employees use the tools and resources associated with the program (ACE);
• Responsible for managing employee productivity while achieving the priorities and objectives of operations.
• Write annual evaluations and communicate them to employees;
• Submit monthly reports to management;
• Manage organizational changes.

Qualifications required: • Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 3 years of experience or technical DCS with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment;
• Solid experience in implementing continuous improvement projects;
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English and French;
• Process- and results-driven;
• Autonomy, perseverance, versatility and ethical sense;
• Works well under pressure.

Additional Information: • Rotational work schedule (1st and 2nd shifts);
• Any relevant related work experience will be considered.
