As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Program Manager in our Sales business located in Medford, NY.

JOB SUMMARY

Manages the activities of product lines / projects / programs involving department or cross-functional teams. Focuses on delivery within prescribed time fame and funding parameters. Monitors the product line / program / project from initiation through delivery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Review Statement of Work (SOW) for program specific requirements. Ensure customer requirements are met and in the best interests of BE Aerospace/Rockwell Collins by creating baseline plan, and other program management components. Ensures that the cost basis and/or pricing is correct by evaluating resource requirements, performing risk analysis.

* Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for authorized work. Establishes and communicates overall. priorities and changing program requirements to functional areas.

* Identify unique WBS and charge numbers for authorized work.

* Conduct and chair internal team meetings, minimum weekly, to review progress and identify issues.

* Participate in Customer chaired meetings to address progress, questions, and concerns.

* Facilitate working sessions to resolve unplanned anomalies.

* Conduct and chair internal design reviews.

* Participate in Customer chaired design reviews.

* Identify, track and close on action items resulting from meetings and reviews.

* Review and sign-off on drawing changes.

* Review and sign-off on Purchase Requisitions.

* Develop, review, and report on Estimates to Complete and at Completion.

* Prepare material and participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs).

* Prepare, review and submit ROMs and FFPs inputs to Contracts & Pricing.

* Coordinate and facilitate working sessions with Suppliers as are required to meet technical, schedule and cost constraints.

* Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation/execution plans.

* Review and sign-off on SDRLs data submittals.

* Review and sign-off on Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions.

* Review and sign-off on any Deviations and/or Waivers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university.

* Minimum 8- years’ experience in a role as a successful, demonstrated Program Manager with program management hands-on experience from initial concept to product delivery. Preferred experience working with or for Prime Contractors in the Aerospace/Defense/Military business.

* Broad knowledge of appropriate engineering disciplines and technology, finance and contract administration, customer procurement procedures, program and contracts management concepts as well as marketing techniques and strategies

* Ability to manage multiple programs running at different product development stages

* Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix management environment

* Ability to develop business plans, prepare detailed project schedules, prepare status and tracking matrixes, conduct teleconferences, prepare financial progress reports, write business letters and email correspondences, risk assessments and contingency plans.

* Understanding of program requirements involving internal and external customers and the ability to communicate these to multiple tiered audiences

* Proficient in conducting SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR activities in accordance with customer requirements.

* Proficient in Microsoft Project and ERP/MRP Systems.

* Ability to resolve conflicts in a productive manner

* Demonstration of collaborative team building skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master’s Degree

* Prior security clearance a plus, future security clearance a must.

* Experience working in a government/military aerospace field.
