JOB SUMMARY

This salaried exempt position requires management, leadership, organizational and visionary skills. The job includes management of the entire Textron/Embraer Program. This position also requires the knowledge of aircraft and engine maintenance. Supervision of Team Leaders will be key to the work process. Job duties will vary each day and will encompass projects as designated by the Operations Manager/Director of Maintenance. Working efficiently with other departments will be an essential part of day to day activities. This person will help coordinate aircraft hangar stacks and manage the scheduling process for the Textron/Embraer Program. Will be required to work independently, exercise discretion and independent judgment and coordinate designated customer and company projects. Will have direct customer contact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


* Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
* Work with Team Leaders to ensure project flow and work process meet expectations.
* Schedule and work quality are essential in these functions.
* Supervise Team Leaders in daily functions, such as work order processing, FAA paperwork and shop processes.
* Work with Sales and customers on project management, pricing, schedule changes and support.
* Continue to expand the capabilities of the Textron/Embraer Program to meet the needs of the company.
* Develop and assist sales with quotes for different aircraft models and projects.
* Hangar stack coordination and scheduling assistance.
* Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
EXPECTATIONS

Responsible for developing and growing the overall Textron/Embraer Program and its capabilities.

Key contact for all managers for management of work flow.

Responsible for process evaluation and improvement to increase productivity and profitability.

Responsible for continual improvement of the end product provided to our customers, including quality, performance and on-time delivery.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.

4 year management degree helpful.

Airframe and Powerplant License required.

Aircraft specific factory training required.

Experienceyears prior experience on turbine aircraft and systems.

Experience in supervision.

FAA paperwork, work order and billing process experience.

Extensive customer service experience required.

InitiativeSelf-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.

Process work with minimum supervision

Lead and provide incentive to team members.

Deal directly with customers, including areas of conflict.

Develop area and solve problems.

ResponsibilityAttend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.

Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.

Manage the West Star Aviation Textron/Embraer Program.

Direct the work and flow of multiple projects.

Insure debriefs and post briefings on aircraft are performed with the customer.

Supervision of Team Leaders and Teams in daily operations and duties.

Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Follow all company and safety rules during the performance of duties.

Maintain a positive customer service environment.

Assistance in completion of work orders, FAA paperwork and billing items.

ContactsAirframe Team Leaders and Team Leaders of other departments assigned to multiple aircraft.

Department Managers and Operations Manager/Director of Maintenance.

Company sales representatives.

Customers and outside vendors.

Work with other Department Managers and Team Leaders on multiple projects in a cooperative manner.
