Pay Rate: $19-$25/HR 
Assignment Length: 9 Months

Job Description Summary 
Summary: 
Reporting to the Quality Manager - Commercial Programs, as the Program Quality Engineer, you will support all Quality requirements by providing technical support to our Customer, relative to the quality of components, sub-systems, and product-related services provided for wheels and brakes programs. 

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Perform customer interface and manage flow down of customer requirements 
  • Approve manufacturing documents & support the development & post-development phases of the program 
  • Drive quality performance in support of company and external customer goals and objectives 
  • Liaise with the internal/external organizations/customers on quality issues 
  • Collect and analyze data, and generate technical reports and presentations 
  • Support and maintain the implementation of PPAP and key characteristics in conjunction with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering groups 
  • Coach Integrated Product Team (IPT), Operations and Supply Chain to improve quality levels on difficult to manufacture designs 
  • Co-coordinate all Quality requirements as they relate to the program 
  • Generate and maintain driver metrics and provide input to internal and customer meetings (CAB, Program Review, Quality Review, etc) 

    Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technical discipline, 
  • 1+ years of related aerospace, automotive or medical quality engineering experience. Entry Level position.
  • Has implemented, maintained and/or improved APQP or PPAP processes 
  • Good understanding of design and machining / manufacturing methods 
  • ASQ CEQ certification, preferred. 
  • Strong Six Sigma/Lean deployment and process improvement experience (ASQ Black belt preferred) 
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO / AS9000 standard, APQP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans and management of Key Characteristics. 
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills requiring minimal supervision 
  • Excellent problem solving skills / aptitude with good analytical / SPC and interpretative skills (ASQ CEQ preferred) 
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office software programs 
  • Strong presentation, training, technical writing, communication and change management skills 
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to work constructively within teams 
  • Multi-project management experience 
  • Strong ability to make quality decisions while remaining customer focused
