Position Expectations 

 

Position Title: Project Coordinator SOC Technology

 

Position Summary

The Project Coordinator, SOC Technology is responsible for providing support to the VP SOC Technology and team in a wide variety of technology projects to increase the efficiency of the department by efficiently prioritizing time and being the “go-to” person to make things happen!  This opportunity is for someone who is confident, goal-oriented, highly motivated, and trust-worthy.  The Coordinator is a key member of the SOC Technology Team, dedicated to ensure technologies supporting the operations are available and reliable.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate schedules as well as travel arrangements

  • Serve as point of contact for technology project information and updates

  • Assist with preparation of project business case, development of project plan and tracking of project budget

  • Track progress of technology projects and provide routine status reports using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Create and maintain comprehensive database or archive for project documentation, status reports and information

  • Develop and contribute solutions to a wide variety of technology projects to avoid project delays

  • Produce presentations and status reports for VP, SOC TechnologyPlan internal functions for the VP, SOC Technology, including speaking engagements (Officer Huddles, Management Meetings, external speaking engagements, etc)

  • Participate in cross-functional special projects and assignments as assigned by the VP, SOC Technology

  • Build strong working relationships with SOC, Financial Planning  & Analysis, Structural Programs and IT Leaders

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or related subject and/or demonstrated capability through previous experience and education to perform job responsibilities 

  • Two (2) years related IT project support or business analysis experience

  • Two (2) years administrative experience

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, accurate, and a quick learner.

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet Explorer

  • Experience with SharePoint

  • Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking and attention to detail

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy

  • Experience organizing/coordinating technology projects while providing exceptional customer service

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with other departments

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-taskAble to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test when applicable

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

    Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Three (3) years related IT project support or business analysis experience

  • Four (4) years administrative experience

  • Experience with coordinating multiple technology projects, schedule, tasks, resources with local and distributed teams

  • Prior travel or hospitality industry experience

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

  • Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are       asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun

  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
