UTC Aerospace is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Project Engineer/Manager to support the A350 Program Management Office. The A350 program team is responsible for meeting the program’s cost and schedule objectives. This position includes the creation and management of comprehensive multi-disciplinary schedules, tracking of key deliverables, management of customer/supplier expectations, and product enhancements and improvements for an in-service aircraft. Specific responsibilities include:

* Act as Program lead for the Airbus A350 Fan Cowl, to include cost, schedule, and coordination oversight
* Oversee A350 Fan Cowl product enhancements
* Generate program plans, schedules, and action plans
* Actively manage new program Risk to minimize impact to schedule, business plan, and quality
* Identify opportunities to reduce recurring cost
* Achieve 100% on time delivery to contractual requirements regardless of organizational or supplier responsibility

Qualification: Motivated & team orientated
Ability to define, track, and document multi-disciplinary project tasks (schedule, resources, budget/cost)
Experience with product development and serial production Programs
Ability to manage program Risk to minimize impact to schedule, business plan, and quality
Experience with technical presentations to internal and external customers
Ability to lead Internal Reviews: generate/update visuals, provide weekly status, and effectively drive linkage between Design, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, etc
Supplier management experience preferred
Ability to identify, assess and manage implementation of necessary engineering changes, to include recurring cost reductions and producibility improvements
Good understanding of design (structures & systems)
Understanding of, experience with, and strong bias for Continuous Improvement activities
Good understanding of product life cycle
Very strong written & verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of contracts and specifications
Knowledge of composites materials and manufacturing processes is preferred
Aerospace experience is preferred
MS Project skills highly desirable
Nacelle systems familiarity desirable

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 7+ years of experience
Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience
