Responsabilities:

1.Project Management Responsibilities

Lead and participate with project team members to plan, control, communicate and execute projects in order to ensure the work is performed in accordance with the Contract and approved customer requirements of Quality, Schedule and Cost. Creates project master schedule and ensures updates are conducted weekly.

Works with all assigned functional managers to ensure contractual milestones are addressed and work breakdown structure is clearly defined.

Develop communication plan for assigned project and liaise with all departments to ensure all contractual matters are understood and dealt with in an effective and timely professional manner.

Develop and release official project "Responsibility Matrix" to ensure all customer deliverables are met in accordance with contract and approved spec.

Generate “Earned Value Executive Report” on a monthly basis for all projects within your assigned Program. This report must include the following for both labour and materials; Actual, Budget; Estimate to Complete; Estimate at Complete; %Complete; Committed Costs; Variance; and explanations of performance results.

Lead project kick-off, customer kick-off and project post-delivery (including lessons learned) meetings in accordance with company Standard Plant Procedures

Provide labour and material projections for the ‘Master Capacity Plan’ on a weekly basis for each Project of assigned Program.

Support functional Managers with resource plans and schedule requirements. Work with functional managers in developing and implementing work around and recovery plans as required to meet contractual delivery requirements.

2.Customer Management Responsibilities

Interact daily with customers to ensure their concerns are addressed. Manage effective relationship with customer and protect company’s interests while maximizing opportunity for further business.

Act as primary contact for all customer contractual and commercial matters. Manage their expectations to ensure work performed does not exceed contractual obligations.

Coordinate and facilitate customer contract change orders Lead customer Project Review Meetings to present project status / performance including schedule, critical issues, and customer pending items. Manage and report action items (send ‘Program Review Report’ on a weekly basis)

3.Quantity of Work Output

Responsible for the planning, scheduling and coordination of the workload, including the following activities:

a. Planning – Ensures resources will be available when needed.

b. Scheduling – Assigns work schedules, establishes progress and communicates any deviations

c. Coordinating – Distributes workload, establishes priorities and is responsible for day-to-day activities of the assigned work.

Quality of Work Output Responsible to ensure quality of the work meets the minimum standards of the organization. Maintains a general awareness amongst the staff of the quality standards and promotes the importance of quality.

Personnel – Labour Management Responsible for overall supervision, accountability and direction of all direct reports. Includes the following activities:

1.Selection & Hiring

2.Orientation & Training

3.Supervision and Attendance Management

4.Performance Reviews

5.Labour Relations

Productivity – Cost Control & Efficiency; Responsible to maximize the level of output of his/her department by ensuring operating costs of the department are minimized through a lean manufacturing environment.

Compliance with Labour Codes & Company Policies; Legal responsibility to ensure that his/her area of responsibility is free of safety violations, that all employees receive proper training and that all human rights are upheld. Responsible for the health and safety of their direct reports and for ensuring they all work in a harassment-free environment.

4.Other Responsibilities

Coordinate with Engineering, Methods, PPD, Procurement, Quality, Configuration Management, Production, IT and Accounting as required during the project life cycle to ensure all matters are addressed. Resolve interdepartmental issues proactively, while observing the integrity of the functional teams.

Pursue follow-on business opportunities and support Program Manager Warranty if required. Initiate and coordinate process improvement plans.

Responsible for ensuring Work in Progress (WIP) of assigned program is up to date with accurate information (job #, dates, status, etc…)

Qualifications:

Specialized knowledge of aviation products, services and business processes.

Leadership Skills.

Ability to work strategically and to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment.

Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc..)

Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to implement solutions.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English and French. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Strong business acumen and ability to review and analyze data.

Self-motivated, results oriented with a focus on quality. Specialized knowledge of aviation products, services and business Processes.
