Position Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor, Engineering Data Operations, this role will be responsible for gathering, organizing filing or archival and retrieval of airport technical data, drawings and documents using the departments document management system and corporate hard copy archival facilities.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

* Receives and files, technical documents and data related to airport construction, including digital and hard copy construction project drawings and documentation, inventories, reports, manuals, CAD and GIS data sets, photography and microfiche

* Utilize adopted storage and archival protocols for all hard copy submissions including, O&M manuals, Reports, Studies, drawing sets, etc

* Maintain workflows, systems of classification and attribution for documents and data managed in the Engineering Data document management system

* Locate and assemble technical documents and data specific to GTAA Project design requirements

* Prepare transmittal records that detail documents delivered to third parties in support of GTAA projects

* Utilizes the GTAA identification and labelling standards and directs GTAA consultants and staff as required on naming and numbering conventions for system integration

* Assign and reserve drawing numbers for new GTAA projects as required

* Provide one on one Document Management System and/or data processing training to clients as required

* Other duties as assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

* Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field

* Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with technical construction drawings and or documents

* Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a role responsible for the use and upkeep of a recognized enterprise document and or records management system or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience

* Experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings

* Experience with large format printing, plotting and scanning hardware and software

* Must be able to obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Knowledge of drawing numbering/cataloguing systems

* Familiar with record, document and data management techniques and systems

* Knowledge of the Engineering Data unit’s mandate and client requirements

* Knowledge of current CAD, GIS and document management systems

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
