Niacc Avitech is currently recruiting a Purchasing Agent for its Fresno, CA facility. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for working closely with approved vendors and maintenance personnel to procure materials and services needed to support our facility.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Perform work to acquire supplies, services by purchase, rental, or lease through purchase orders
* Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies
* Review requisitions; speak with vendors to obtain products or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule, product quality or performance and inventories
* Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action in a timely matter
* Maintain a filing system for all procurement matters
* Prepares purchase orders
* Performs other duties as assigned or required by management
Job Requirements :
* Three (3) years experience required in related field, Purchasing, Inventory Control
* Individual must have strong data entry skills, both fast and accurate
* Proficient use of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
* Requires knowledge of policies and procedures for purchase orders
* Knowledge of commercial supply sources and common business practices related to sales, prices, discounts, unit of measure, and deliveries
* Aviation parts knowledge/experience highly preferred, but not required
